About Lizz

Originally from Georgetown, Texas, Lizz earned her Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Texas at Arlington. While attending UT Arlington, Lizz met her husband, Thomas Lane. After graduation, Lizz and Thomas moved to San Antonio so Lizz could pursue her legal education at St. Mary's University School of Law. During law school,  she gained extensive experience volunteering with the Bexar County District Attorney's office and interning with the Staff Attorney's office for all 14 of the Civil District Courts in Bexar County.

After law school, Lizz spent years working as a litigator working closely with local governments throughout Bexar County and surrounding areas. Her reputation far exceeded her and she quickly became known for her integrity, collaboration and problem solving skills, and ability to navigate complex municipal relationships.

It did not take long for Lizz to return to her passion and join the Bexar County District Attorney's office as a prosecutor. Lizz quickly developed a positive reputation for her strong work ethic, organizational skills, and her fair-minded approach in reducing longstanding case backlog.  Her performance earned her the respect of her colleagues, defense bar, and supervisors leading to her selection as a mentor for new prosecutors and being trusted to manage court operations independently.

Lizz is committed to bringing a focus on efficiency, fairness, and compassion to the bench in County Court No. 9 for the benefit of all who come before the court.
